What is this podcast all about?

Are you SLP-minded?

In other words...
  • Do you enjoy critically-thinking about the research in our field to improve your clinical practices?
  • Do you have dreams of pursuing a doctorate or conducting your own research study some day?
  • Do you like hearing from the researchers, gaining their insight, and learning about their discoveries?
  • Do find SLP journal clubs or lunch-and-learns useful and interesting?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, then The SLP-Minded Podcast is for you.

The aims of this podcast are to encourage a stronger appreciation for research and foster a stronger relationship between the researchers and the clinicians. By critically thinking about unanswered clinical questions and the clinical implications of the latest research, SLPs and researchers can collaboratively work toward improving evidence-based practice and patient outcomes.

Each episode of The SLP-Minded Podcast features interviews with academics about their up and coming or recently published research centered on various adult medical SLP topics, such as:
  • Aphasia
  • Clinical supervision
  • Cognitive-communication disorders
  • Counseling
  • Dysphagia
  • Fluency disorders
  • Motor speech disorders
  • Voice disorders

Join in the fun by reading the research before episodes go on air and submit your questions for the interviews!
